How to get from trouble to perfect
Dear brothers and sisters, when 1.troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your 2.faith is tested, your 3.endurance has a chance to grow. 4So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be 4. perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:2-5nllt
What starts with troubles, ends with ...perfect, complete, needing nothing. The only thing in between those two seemingly polar opposites (troubles & perfection) are
Faith is that irrepressible force within you that simply knows God is working this out for your good. Endurance is the ability to maintain that strength for...as long as it takes.
The only possible way that adding faith and endurance to our troubles would land us in a place called “perfect” is that those troubles are strategic stepping stones rather than random pains in the rear. Please slow down and consider the implications of God’s word declaring a path to “perfect” that starts with troubles. Maybe you need to take another look at your troubles.
